The Everyday Green Smoothie – a smoothie that will change breakfasts all around the world, forever! This smoothie is nourishing, detox-friendly, satisfying and delicious all in one. Starting your day off with a big glass of blended fruits and veggies will dictate your choices throughout the rest of the day. It will help you make better choices, opting for fresh foods instead of bland, nutrient-lacking options.

I love this everyday green smoothie. It’s my go-to breakfast smoothie, but I also love taking it with me on the go as a sort of “meal replacement” if I’m running off to work or to a meeting. This smoothie makes me feel amazing. I can actually feel the nutrients fueling my cells, keeping me buzzed with energy. It is great for healthy, fresh skin and is incredibly anti-inflammatory and hydrating.

Okay, so what makes this smoothie so special?

It’s got greens – your choice of baby spinach or kale. Super anti-inflammatory, fibrous and packed with chlorophyll. Plus, romaine – dietary fibre, manganese, potassium, biotin, vitamin B1, copper, iron and vitamin C. Pretty darn sweet, right? I also love adding celery as it is a natural diuretic and packed with fibre, making it an awesome detox food. Plus who doesn’t love a good hydrating cucumber?

It’s got fruits – An apple a day keeps the doctor away, so there ya go. Bananas are an excellent source of fuel and loaded with potassium, especially good for those who are exercising daily. Oranges and limes are loaded with vitamin C, so those seasonal colds will stay away.

It’s got protein and healthy fats – I love adding hemp seeds for a good boost of protein and healthy fats – our lovely macronutrients keeping our body, well, functioning. If you want to add a protein powder, I recommend pure plain hemp protein powder or pumpkin seed protein powder.

It’s got antimicrobials – ginger. Ginger is such a powerful food. It has antimicrobial and antiviral properties, which will help to support your immune system, fighting all those bad bugs away. It also helps to reduce acne and inflammation.

It’s got greens powder – I like to mix this up every day. Most days I go for my Pranin Organic B Vitamins as they give me a serious boost of energy for my day, some days I go for my Pranin Organic A-Z supplement for an all-around goodness boost, and if I’m feeling stressed then I often add my Pranin Organic Vitamin C supplement (Vitamin C stores are used up in times of high-stress). Ingredients

  • 1 large handful of romaine lettuce
  • 1 large handful of baby spinach or kale
  • 1 4-inch piece of peeled cucumber
  • 1 stalk of celery
  • 1 orange or grapefruit
  • 1/2 apple
  • 1 ripe banana
  • ½ inch of fresh ginger
  • The juice of 1 lime or lemon
  • 1 tbsp. of hemp seeds
  • 1 serving of Pranin Organic supplement powder(s) of your choice
  • 250ml of pure filtered water

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients in a good, high-speed blender.
